Jackets-Legends suspended by rain
In Lexington, Ky., the Augusta GreenJackets game against the Lexington Legends was suspended in the second inning because of rain Monday night.
The Legends were leading 4-0 when the game was halted. The game will be continued today, with the scheduled contest to follow.
Pacers tied for 12th in D-II regional play
In DeLand, Fla., USC Aiken is tied for 12th after one round of the Division II South/Southeast Regional at Victoria Hills Golf Club.
The Pacers totaled 6-over-par 298 and are 13 strokes behind West Florida in the 54-hole tournament.
USC Aiken's Hayden Leiten shot 1-under 71 and is tied for eighth, four shots behind Lynn's Richardo Gouveia .
Other Pacers in the field include Mark Dickson (74), Matt Atkins (75), Gaines Milliner (78) and Kyle Godsman (81).

Individual player statistics for baseball, softball and soccer are due by 4 p.m. Wednesday, with no exceptions. Nominations for players of the week are also due at this time. The weekly stats and player of the week run each Friday.

- Leta Andrews , the nation's all-time winningest high school basketball coach, will speak at the Lakeside High School basketball banquet at 6:45 tonight.
The Granbury (Tex.) High School coach has amassed 1,346 career victories in 49 seasons.

Jags open tourney vs. top-seeded Pats
Fourth-seeded Augusta State will begin play in the double-elimination Peach Belt Conference Tournament against No. 1 seed Francis Marion at 12:30 p.m. Sunday in Columbus, Ga.
The Jaguars and Patriots are paired in the bracket with Georgia College and UNC Pembroke, who play at 9 a.m. Sunday.
On the other side of the bracket, Columbus State plays Lander at 4 p.m. and Armstrong Atlantic State takes on North Georgia at 7:30.
USC Aiken did not qualify.
Ducks LB suspended after trespass arrest
Oregon has indefinitely suspended linebacker Kiko Alonso after his arrest on burglary and trespassing charges.
The Register-Guard reported that the 20-year-old junior from Los Gatos, Calif., was arrested early Sunday after a Eugene woman called 911 to report a strange man pounding on her front door demanding to be let inside.
Alonso was suspended for the entire 2010 season after a driving while intoxicated citation.
- Ohio State confirmed that linebacker Dorian Bell was suspended for the 2011 season for an undisclosed violation of team rules. The 6-foot-1, 225-pounder played in eight games last season, totaling nine tackles.
- Suspended Notre Dame star wide receiver Michael Floyd has pleaded not guilty to a misdemeanor drunken driving charge.
Sharapova moves to 3rd round in Madrid
In Madrid, Maria Sharapova beat Ekaterina Makarova 6-3, 3-6, 6-1 in an all-Russian match to advance to the third round at the Madrid Open.
On the men's side, Flavio Cipolla of Italy defeated 12th-seeded American Andy Roddick 6-4, 6-7 (7), 6-3.
