Minnesota wide receiver Jerome Simpson was arrested early Saturday.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a trooper responded to a report of a stalled vehicle in the lane on Interstate 394 heading west out of downtown Minneapolis.

After Simpson took field sobriety tests, according to the State Patrol report, he was arrested at 4:03 a.m. local time. Simpson was booked about an hour and a half later at the Hennepin County jail, where he refused to take a breath test.

The Vikings beat Washington on Thursday, so players have the weekend off.

DOLPHINS: Head coach Joe Philbin confirmed that suspended guard Richie Incognito was investigated last year for allegedly molesting a female volunteer at the team’s golf tournament.

“That incident occurred a year and a half ago,” Philbin said Saturday. “We were made aware of the incident and we took immediate action.”

Philbin declined to elaborate on what kind of actions were taken against Incognito. Philbin also did not reveal whether the NFL was alerted.

The Dolphins suspended Incognito indefinitely last Sunday due to alleged harassment and misconduct toward teammate and fellow offensive lineman Jonathan Martin, who left the team last week because of emotional issues.

RAIDERS: Promoted Jack Cornell from the practice squad to the active roster to add depth to the offensive line.

The Raiders waived defensive lineman Brian Sanford on Saturday to make room for Cornell, who has played in one game this season. Oakland is thin on the line heading into today’s game at the New York Giants because of injuries.
