Michael Vick is still the Philadelphia Eagles’ starting quarterback, according to one of his wide receivers, DeSean Jackson.

“As far as I know right now, Michael Vick is going to be the quarterback,” Jackson said in an interview on ESPN Radio. “I haven’t heard of changes or anything like that, so we’re still going with the plan.”

Philadelphia plays Monday against the New Orleans Saints.

Vick had said Sunday after the Eagles’ 30-17 loss to the Atlanta Falcons that coach Andy Reid was considering making a change at quarterback, and that he might be benched in favor of rookie Nick Foles.

SAINTS: The latest legal brief filed by Jonathan Vilma to advocate the removal of Paul Tagliabue from the players’ appeals hearing in the bounty investigation reportedly includes the original e-mail from former assistant Mike Cerullo that had helped relaunch the NFL’s probe, according to ProFootballTalk.com.

CHIEFS: Matt Cassel will start Thursday night’s game against San Diego because Brady Quinn has not been cleared to practice due to a concussion, regaining the starting job – at least for one week – that he lost after a dismal five-game stretch.

Chiefs coach Romeo Crennel announced Tuesday that Quinn will not be available and that Ricky Stanzi will serve as the backup.

BUCCANEERS: Placed guard Carl Nicks, an All-Pro last season, on injured reserve.

They also put tight end Danny Noble on IR and elevated guard Roger Allen to the active roster from the practice squad.

JAGUARS: Traded receiver Mike Thomas to the Detroit Lions for an undisclosed draft pick.

Thomas signed a three-year extension worth $18 million last October. The deal includes $9 million guaranteed.

DOLPHINS: Receiver Anthony Armstrong has been released after making only three catches for 12 yards in the season’s first seven games.

SEAHAWKS: Wide receiver Ben Obomanu has been placed on
season-ending injured reserve with a wrist injury suffered in Sunday’s loss to Detroit.

CHARGERS: Waived kicker Nate Kaeding after he passed a physical. He was placed on IR on Oct. 22 with a groin injury but said they’d release him when he was healthy.
