Carpenter, a former Hephzibah standout, made his season debut at left guard Sunday against the Rams after hurting his left knee last November.
FALCONS: Fullback Lousaka Polite sat out Sunday’s win over Carolina while nursing a sore hamstring.
Jason Snelling started in his place.
TITANS: Quarterback Jake Locker injured his left shoulder after being sacked by the Houston Texans in the first quarter on Sunday, and missed the rest of the game.
He returned to the sideline in the second quarter in street clothes with his left arm in a sling. Locker injured the same shoulder in Tennessee’s season-opening loss against New England.
Tennessee coach Mike Munchak said after Sunday’s 38-14 loss in Houston that Locker was “sore” and will undergo an MRI exam today.
JETS: Receiver Santonio Holmes had to be helped from the field Sunday after hurting his left foot on the first play of the fourth quarter against San Francisco.
The Jets said after the game that Holmes was being treated for a foot problem, not a knee injury as was announced during the game.
LIONS: Defensive end Cliff Avril left Sunday’s game against Minnesota with a back injury.
