PITTSBURGH - Tony Gonzalez of the Atlanta Falcons became the first NFL tight end to reach 1,000 receptions by catching a 20-yard pass from Matt Ryan in the third quarter against Pittsburgh.

Gonzalez, who played 12 seasons with Kansas City before joining the Falcons last season, is the seventh receiver to make at least 1,000 catches. The others are Jerry Rice , Marvin Harrison , Cris Carter , Tim Brown , Isaac Bruce and Terrell Owens .

LIONS: Second-year quarterback Matthew Stafford' s status for the next game is uncertain after he left the season opener against Chicago with a right shoulder injury following a blindside sack by the Bears' Julius Peppers .

Stafford, who starred at Georgia, said he will go through tests this week and is not sure if he'll be ready for the Lions' game against Philadelphia.

"I don't know, we'll see," he said. "I will try, though."

EAGLES: Quarterback Kevin Kolb left Sunday's game with a concussion.

Kolb was hurt in the second quarter. The Eagles originally said he had a jaw injury.

He did not start the second half. Michael Vick took his place and nearly led the team to a comeback win.

PATRIOTS: Randy Moss says he wants to stay with the team after this season but doesn't expect that to happen.

The wide receiver says there have been no talks toward a new contract to replace the one that expires after this season. But he said that won't affect how hard he plays this year.

BILLS: Linebacker Paul Posluszny sustained what's being described as a potential long-term knee injury Sunday.

Coach Chan Gailey said it's too early to determine the severity of the injury to Posluszny because the player is scheduled to have further tests.

CARDINALS: Running back Beanie Wells , who missed three days of practice last week with a knee injury, was among the inactives for Sunday's game against the St. Louis Rams.

EAGLES Fullback Leonard Weaver left Sunday's game against the Green Bay Packers with a sprained left knee and did not return.
