ATLANTA — Jeff Teague equaled his career best with 34 points, Paul Millsap had the first triple-double of his career and the Atlanta Hawks extended their longest winning streak of the season to five in a row, beating the Toronto Raptors 118-113 in overtime Tuesday night.

Millsap had 19 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists to lead the Hawks, who have bounced back after losing 14 of 15 to strengthen their hold on the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.

The Hawks overcame a13-point deficit in a game that went back and forth.

HEAT: All-Star guard Dwyane Wade didn’t play in a 100-96 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers to rest his knees.

Wade has played in 48 of 64 games as the Heat have managed his minutes so they can have him fresh for the playoffs and a run at a third consecutive NBA title.

LeBron James scored 43 points – 25 in the first quarter – and had 31 at halftime, but the Heat entered the final 12 minutes tied as they were unable to shake off the Cavs, who shot 60 percent from the floor through three.

CAVALIERS: All-Star point guard Kyrie Irving will miss at least two weeks with a strained biceps tendon, but he’s hopeful his season is not over.

“If you could take a positive from the situation, obviously that would be one, that at this point, I don’t have to get surgery, which is tremendous,” Irving said following shootaround Tuesday.

WARRIORS: Are taking no chances with injuries late this season, deciding to rest two banged-up starters while they jockey for playoff position in the crowded Western Conference standings.

Swingman Andre Iguodala sat out the first of at least three consecutive games Tuesday against the Orlando Magic because of tendinitis in his right knee, and center Andrew Bogut is out indefinitely with inflammation in his left ankle.
