Harvick led 83 of the 200 laps Saturday, but had to rally after his crew cost him several spots on pit road.
"You look like a bunch of idiots on pit road," he told his Kevin Harvick Inc. crew after their first slow stop.
Danica Patrick finished 36th in her third and final NASCAR race before she takes a four-month hiatus to return to IndyCar racing.
She wrecked about halfway through the race when she ran into the lapped car of Michael McDowell .
Patrick, who had climbed as high as third earlier in the race, was livid on the radio and uttered a few profanities immediately after the accident. She finally asked crew chief Tony Eury Jr. where to take her battered car. The hood folded like an accordion, she complained she couldn't even see where she was going.
"It's gonna be all right, babe," Eury told her.
"I can barely see," she replied.
Meanwhile, Harvick had to methodically work his way back through the field, and found himself trailing leader Denny Hamlin late in the race.
Once past Hamlin, Harvick coasted to his second career win at Las Vegas and 35th in the Nationwide Series.
Hamlin was second, followed by Carl Edwards, Brad Keselowski and Brian Vickers .
TROPHY TURNS UP: Jeff Gordon wants to know how one of his trophies ended up on the television show Pawn Stars on the History Channel.
A man got $300 in Las Vegas for an old driver of the year trophy awarded to the four-time Sprint Cup Series champion.
"We're trying to do some investigating on it right now," Gordon said.
"When I first heard about it, I didn't think it was real. I'm still trying to find out. I'll go to the shop and buy it back. I don't really know.
"We don't give away trophies. It's news to me. I'm a little upset too and just trying to figure it out."
CHECKING HIS OPTIONS: Kasey Kahne will be a free agent at the end of the season and he will check out all of his options before signing.
He will drive the No. 9 Ford at Richard Petty Motorsports this year. He wants a new deal in place before the season is done, and he's ready to talk to anyone.
"It's something I want to know during the season for sure, but it's kind of nice to be able to sit back and look and watch the performance of our team, watch the performance of the Chevrolets, the Toyotas, the Fords and the Dodges and just kind of see where everybody is at and make that decision," he said.
