Augusta RiverHawks will finish season at Augusta Ice Sports Center

The Augusta RiverHawks will play their final eight home games at the Augusta Ice Sports Center, according to a statement by James Brown Arena management.

With additional maintenance needed to repair the problem that caused the arena’s ice to melt last week, the RiverHawks are forced to play the remainder of their home schedule at the ice rink on Augusta West Parkway.

The ice center holds around 400 people, and the RiverHawks are instituting a policy of first come, first served among their 650 season-ticket holders and corporate sponsors for tonight’s game. The team has three games remaining this week. The final home game is March 22.

Anyone other than season-ticket holders who purchased tickets to upcoming games should receive a refund at the point of purchase. Tickets purchased by phone or Internet should receive a refund within seven to 10 business days, according to the statement.
