RiverHawks sign eighth goalie of season

The Augusta RiverHawks filled their backup goalie position in a more permanent way, signing Brandon Foote to a contract Friday.

Foote marks the eighth goalie to suit up for Augusta this season.

Foote, a 21-year-old from Whitby, Ontario, played four seasons in the Ontario Hockey League, once surpassing a .900 save percentage.

His best season came in 2009-10 with the Guelph Storm, going 20-8-1 with a .913 save percentage in 29 games as goaltender.

The RiverHawks removed Jared Balbag as emergency goaltender in a corresponding move.
