The 28-year-old left wing scored five goals and added four assists over a perfect 3-0 weekend for Augusta, including a four-goal effort Saturday night. His third hat trick of the season helped increase the RiverHawks' lead atop the league standings to five points with an 11-2-1 overall record.
Gehring has scored 14 goals in 14 games this season. The second-year RiverHawk is tied for the league lead in goals scored and leads the league with a shooting success rate of 31.8 percent.
The first-place RiverHawks will play a pair of home games this week starting Thursday against the second-place Knoxville Ice Bears.
