Augusta RiverHawks enforcer Kevin Fukala will miss the first six games of the 2011-12 season as part of his punishment from the league office, according to a statement today from the Southern Professional Hockey League.

Fukala's stick shot to the head of a Columbus Cottonmouths player in the second round of the SPHL playoffs earned him a suspension for the remainder of the playoffs, which turned out to be four games.

The league finalized its decision on the length of the punishment, bringing the total suspension to 10 games, which will carry over to next season.
