*Nash leads Blue Jackets over Predators*
COLUMBUS, Ohio (Ticker) -- Captain Rick Nash scored two goals while Fredrik Modin and Kristian Huselius added two assists apiece as the Columbus Blue Jackets recorded a 5-3 victory over the Nashville Predators on Friday.
Nash sparked a three-goal outburst in the first period, opening the scoring 4:25 into the session. The three-time All-Star later gave the Blue Jackets a four-goal lead with a power-play tally 23 seconds into the second.
Nikita Filatov netted his first career goal with 5:42 left in the first and Jakub Voracek scored eight seconds later, deflecting a backhand pass from Derick Brassard past goaltender Pekka Rinne, who yielded three goals on eight shots before being replaced by Dan Ellis.
Defenseman Greg de Vries and Scott Nichol tallied 11 seconds apart in the second for the Predators, while J.P. Dumont cut the deficit to 4-3 just 98 seconds into the third.
