NEWARK, N.J. — Adam Henrique and Bobby Butler scored power-play goals during a 2:12 span in the third period, and the New Jersey Devils extended their winning streak to four games with a 3-1 victory over Pittsburgh on Saturday.

In Detroit, Niklas Kronwall’s third-period goal broke a tie in the Red Wings’ win over Edmonton.

In San Jose, Calif., Mike Smith made 33 saves through overtime and then turned aside two more shots in the shootout to carry Phoenix past San Jose.

CAPITALS 5, PANTHERS 0

In Washington, Troy Brouwer scored two goals and Braden Holtby stopped 27 shots and assisted on Brouwer’s second goal and the Capitals shut out Florida.

In Montreal, James Reimer made 37 saves and Phil Kessel had a goal and two assists and Toronto defeated the Canadiens.

WILD 2, PREDATORS 1 (OT)

In St. Paul, Minn., Devin Setoguchi’s power-play goal at 4:21 of overtime gave Minnesota a win over Nashville and snapped the Wild’s three-game losing streak.

In St. Louis, Bobby Ryan scored two goals as Anaheim beat St. Louis in a shootout.

Viktor Fasth had 31 saves for the Ducks.

In Uniondale, N.Y., Ryan Miller made 41 saves in Buffalo’s victory over New York.
