In Huntsville, Ala., it took 29 days and 10 games, but the Augusta RiverHawks have their first victory.

The RiverHawks blanked the Huntsville Havoc 4-0 on Friday night to give first-year coach Rob Miller his first win as the Augusta coach.

Augusta (1-8-1) returns to ice at home tonight, taking on Knoxville at 7:35 p.m.

On Friday night, three of Augusta’s goals came on the power play, two of those by Chad Ziegler. William Lacasse had the other power-play goal.

Jarrett Rush scored the other goal, and it was short-handed.

After a scoreless first period, Ziegler scored his first goal at the 1:24 mark of the second period.

Augusta goalie BJ O’Brien, who had given up all the goals in Augusta’s 4-0 loss to Huntsville on Thursday night, had 40 saves on Friday.

The coach needs to go. He

The coach needs to go. He doesn't coach, he supervises, and does so with a heavy hand. He also thumbs his nose at supporters.
