Devils win in shootout

PHILADELPHIA — Patrik Elias and Zach Parise in the shootout to lift the New Jersey Devils to a 4-3 win over the Philadelphia Flyers on Thursday night.

Elias scored the winner on New Jersey’s final attempt. Parise beat Sergei Bobrovsky on the stick side on the first attempt.

Danny Briere scored the only shootout goal for Philadelphia.

JETS 3, ISLANDERS 0

In Uniondale, N.Y., Ondrej Pavelec stopped all 34 shots he faced, and Evander Kane provided all the offense Winnipeg needed.

Johnny Oduya and Alexander Burmistrov also scored for the Jets.

FLAMES 4, RED WINGS 1

In Detroit, Jarome Iginla scored twice on similar one-timers.

Detroit has lost six in a row (0-5-1) after winning its first five.

In Columbus, Ohio, Clarke MacArthur scored twice in his 300th career game, providing all the offense needed to make goaltender Ben Scrivens a winner in his NHL debut.

BLACKHAWKS 3, PANTHERS 2 (SO)

In Sunrise, Fla., Patrick Kane scored the only goal in a shootout as Chicago beat Florida.

RANGERS 2, DUCKS 1 (SO)

In New York, Marian Gaborik made up for a frustrating night by scoring in the last round of a shootout to give the Rangers a win over Anaheim.

WILD 5, CANUCKS 1

In St. Paul, Minn., Matt Cullen had two goals and an assist for Minnesota, and the Wild let their sputtering offense loose by dominating Vancouver.
