Continued weather worries have forced SCHSL’s Class A, Region IV football teams to play this week’s region games Thursday, a day earlier than usual.

The Fox Creek at Hunter-Kinard-Tyler, Wagener-Salley at Ridge Spring-Monetta and Williston-Elko at Blackville-Hilda games have all been moved to 7:30 p.m. Thursday from the originally scheduled Friday at 7:30 p.m. time.

With rain and thunderstorms possible, the region and rivalry game dates were changed due to both concerns about decreased ticket sales and the need to complete the region schedule — the state playoffs begin next week.
