This week’s Williston-Elko at Blackville-Hilda game has been moved to Thursday due to weather concerns.

Blackville-Hilda athletic director Michael Beasley said the game, scheduled for 7:30 p.m., had to be moved from 7:30 p.m. Friday due to potential financial losses from expected Friday rain or thunderstorms.

“We would lose gate for the game,” Beasley said. “It’s a big rivalry game for us. I’d rather play in the sun than in the rain.”

On the field, the 3-6 Hawks will try to beat Williston-Elko for the first time since 2008. This season, the Blue Devils have won seven in a row after an 0-2 start.
