Greenbrier advances to semifinals in baseball

DALLAS, Ga. — Greenbrier swept a doubleheader from East Paulding, 7-3 and 4-1 on Tuesday, in the quarterfinals of the Class AAAAA state baseball tournament.

Adam Sasser went 2 for 3 in both games for the Wolfpack (22-7). Knox Marchman was 2 for 2 in the second game and Taylor Glover was 2 for 3.

Christian Hill, the second of three Greenbrier pitchers, got the win in Game 1. Austin Robinson went the distance to get the win in Game 2.

The Wolfpack will play Whitewater, which beat Gainesville, 2-1 in 11 innings and 4-3, in the semifinals on Monday.

Greenbrier beat Whitewater at home in the semifinals last season. This time, the Wolfpack will travel to Whitewater.
