MACON, Ga. — Tim Quarterman scored 21 points to lead Johnson-Savannah to a 61-51 win over its city rival Savannah on Saturday in the GHSA Class AAA boys state championship game.
Greg Mortimer added 13 points for the Atom Smashers (25-6), who won their first state title since 1992 and the third in school history.
Jermaine Williams scored 18 points to lead Savannah (28-4), which lost in a state championship game for the second straight year.
CLASS AAA GIRLS
ST. PIUS X 77, DAWSON COUNTY 55
Asia Durr scored 24 points to lead St. Pius X to a win over Dawson County (27-6) .
Jasmine Carter added 19 points for the Golden Lions (30-3), who won their fourth state championship.

GREENFOREST CHRISTIAN 55, ST. FRANCIS 41
Greenforest Christian scored the final 14 points to beat St. Francis (23-9).
Tosin Mehinti scored 15 points and had 13 rebounds and five blocks to lead the Eagles (27-4) to their first state championship.
CLASS A GIRLS PRIVATE
ST. FRANCIS 62, SW ATLANTA CHRISTIAN 56 (OT)
Antoinette Brown scored 22 points to lead St. Francis to an overtime win over Southwest Atlanta Christian (28-4).
St. Francis (25-8) overcame a four-point deficit in the final 15 seconds of regulation to force overtime.
Candice Williams and Nigia Greene each scored 14 points for the Knights, who won their first state championship.
CLASS AAAAAA GIRLS
NORCROSS 63, NORTH GWINNETT 42
Diamond DeShields scored 24 points to lead Norcross (28-5) past North Gwinnett (30-2) .
DeShields, who won the Naismith Girls High School Player of the Year award from the Atlanta Tipoff Club in February as the nation’s top player, led the Blue Devils to their third state championship in four years.
Shayla Cooper added 20 points for Norcross, which lost two earlier matchups to the Bulldogs.
