Cross Creek girls basketball takes two region honors

The Cross Creek girls basketball team has received two of the biggest Region 3-AAAA honors.

On the all-region team, Ashleigh Outler was named the player of the year and Kim Schlein was selected as the coach of the year.

The Lady Razorbacks, who went 28-1 and reached the second round of the Class AAAA state playoffs, also had Breanna Bryant and Tia Pullens on the team.

Hephzibah’s Shashana Miller and Burke County’s Amber McGee were the other two local players picked.
