Bears coordinator Michael Youngblood hired as South Cobb coach

 

Burke County defensive coordinator Michael Youngblood is the new head coach at South Cobb, a Class AAAAAA school.

Youngblood, who was a head coach at Dunwoody in 2009, was at Burke County the past three seasons. He helped the Bears win the Class AAA state title in 2011, with his defense not allowing a point in the second half of the 28-14 win against Peach County in the championship.

A Burke County grad, Youngblood won two national titles as a player at Georgia Southern.
