Ware County shuts down Lakeside in first round of the playoffs

In Waycross, Ga., Ware County shut down Lakeside’s rushing game and rolled past the Panthers in a first round Class AAAAA playoff game.

Lakeside was limited to 6 yards on the ground, and also lost two fumbles, one of which was returned for a 2-yard touchdown by Ware County’s Xaiver Tobler in the third quarter.

Lakeside scored its touchdown in the second quarter on Hunter Banks’ 4-yard pass to Jonathan Edwards with 3:08 before the half. That cut Ware County’s lead to 10-7.

The Panthers finish the season 5-6.
