Screven County rolls to region crown

SYLVANIA, Ga. — Jeremy Johnson led the way as Screven County routed Josey 40-12 on Friday night to clinch the Region 3-AA title with one regular season game to play.

It is the first region title for Screven County since 2002, and it came thanks to a big night from Johnson.

He rushed for 162 yards and scored on runs of 43, 34, 6 and 3 yards. He also caught a 39-yard TD pass from Aikeem Mingle.

Screven County is 8-1 overall and 5-0 in the region.
