KAYLA BERNS

HOW SHE FARED: Berns had four kills and recorded team highs in blocks (eight) and assists (21) as the Wolfpack, off to a 10-1 start, picked up a victory over Lakeside on Thursday.

WHAT BERNS SAID: “Any time you can beat a rival like Lakeside, it feels really good. ... As one of the team captains, I know that I have a lot of responsibility and I love that challenge.”

WHAT THEY’RE SAYING: “(Berns) is very quick and has great ball skills. She’s really come a long way in a short time. ... She’s a great leader who always plays with emotion but doesn’t get too emotional on the court. It’s infectious.” – Greenbrier coach Debbie Born

Congrats Kayla!! Who votes

Congrats Kayla!!
Who votes for the player of the week??
I watched the Lakeside vs Thomson game on Friday night and Torrie Battle from Thomson should have definitely been considered. He kept Lakeside's fans pretty quiet for most of the night
