GreenJackets take two from Hot Rods

In Bowling Green, Ky., Dom Duggan had three hits and two RBI and Aaron King allowed one run in 5q innings to lead the Augusta GreenJackets to a 3-1 win over the Hot Rods on Sunday.

Augusta also won Game 1 of the twin bill that were played in seven innings, 4-3. Rain washed out Saturday night's game.

Mike Loree (5-5) earned the win in the opener. He gave up three runs on three hits in six innings. Charlie Culberson went 2 for 2 with an RBI and scored a run.

Come on........This IS Augusta remember. People here will crawl on their hands and knees to shop at Wal-Mart. It's like their Mecca.

we are very excited about

we are very excited about this store opening! there are so many people who do live downtown who need a place like this. my husband and i lived downtown and hated having to drive to big grocery stores - we would have rather shopped somewhere downtown! we wish you guys the best!!

pizzato, hildebrandt's is still open. I wish the owners good luck, but I was hoping for something along the lines of Gurley's on Greene street... the old woolworths on broad would be a great location..
