Coble, 48, will be joined in this year’s induction class by John B. “Sonny” Ellis of Atlanta, Lowell Fritz of Dalton and Albert J. “Duck” Swann.
The banquet and ceremony will take place at the Atlanta Athletic Club in Johns Creek, Ga.
For Coble, the honor is a natural progression for a golfer who has won numerous state and regional titles and has been a fixture on the national women’s amateur scene.
The Augusta golfer won the 2005 and 2007 Georgia Women’s Amateur titles and was a member of three USGA State Team championships (2005-2009-2011), the only golfer in the country to play on three winning state teams.
She has also earned 14 Georgia State Golf Association Women’s Player of the Year awards. She won the Tommy Barnes Award, as the state’s overall Player of the Year, in 2000, 2005 and 2009.
Coble dominated the Georgia Women’s Match Play Championship with eight wins from 1999 to 2010. She also advanced to the final match of the 2009 U.S. Women’s Mid-Amateur Championship in Ocala, Fla., where she lost out to former University of Georgia teammate Martha Leach.
In 2012, Coble locked up her fourth consecutive GSGA player of the year award by reaching the finals of the U.S. Women’s Mid-Amateur.
Earlier, she won the Georgia Women’s Match Play Championship and the Georgia Women’s Amateur Championship.
