Kirk holed a 25-foot putt for 2-under-par 68. Baird followed him with an 8-foot birdie putt for 67. They were tied for the lead going into the last round, a shot ahead of Kevin Stadler, Brian Gay and John Senden. Twelve players were separated by four shots.
Baird is playing his 365th event on the PGA Tour without ever winning. The top eight players on the leaderboard have combined for seven career wins, and that includes Gay’s four wins.
Today’s winner earns an exemption to the 2014 Masters Tournament.
PGA OF AUSTRALIA: In Gold Coast, Australia, Adam Scott shot even-par 71 at wind-swept Royal Pines to open a three-stroke lead in the Australian PGA.
Rickie Fowler and David McKenzie are tied for second.
Fowler had a 71, and will play alongside Scott in the final twosome today. McKenzie shot 72.
EUROPEAN TOUR: In Antalaya, Turkey, Victor Dubuisson opened up a five-shot lead after the third round at the Turkish Airlines Open while Tiger Woods kept himself in the mix despite three bogeys on the back nine.
Dubuisson opened with four consecutive birdies and added five more in a bogey-free 9-under-par 63.
He moved to 21-under 195 to distance himself from the field.
Ian Poulter is alone in second after 68, while Woods (68) and FedEx Cup champion Henrik Stensson (69) were among four players sitting another shot back.
LPGA TOUR: In Shima, Japan, Yuki Ichinose of Japan shot 6-under-par 66 to finish in a three-way tie for the lead after the second round of the Mizuno Classic.
Ichinose carded seven birdies to finish at 8-under 136.
She’s tied with Mamiko Higa (66) and first-round leader Shiho Oyama (68). Brittany Lincicome (68) and Ayako Fujimoto (67) are one off the lead.
