Former Pacer leads NGA Tour event

In Mandeville, La., Roberto Diaz has started to pull away in the NGA Tour’s Florida Marine Open.

The former USC Aiken golfer, who was tied for the first-round lead, now has a four-shot advantage through 36 holes.

Diaz followed his opening 7-under-par 65 with 63 on Friday, moving him to 16-under 128.

He’s struck for 17 birdies and an eagle at Beau Chene Country Club.

Sam Ryder is in second place after rounds of 69-63.
