Area foursome make Q School finals

The four area golfers in the PGA Tour Qualifying School’s second stage have advanced to the finals.

In Humble, Texas, Patrick Reed tied for first place, Kevin Kisner finished third and Stephen Poole tied for 12th place at Redstone Golf Club’s Member Course. The top 19 advanced to the finals.

And in McKinney, Texas, Henrik Norlander tied for 11th at TPC Craig Ranch . The top 20 from this site advanced to the finals.

Reed, who lives in Spring, Texas, closed with 3-under-par 69. He entered the final round tied for third place after rounds of 68-68-69.

Kisner, an Aiken resident, had a final-round 68. He was in a tie for sixth place after opening rounds of 68-67-72.

Poole, who also lives in Aiken, finished with a final-round 71. He was in a tie for 13th place after rounds of 71-67-71.

Norlander, a former Augusta State golfer who lives in Augusta, had a final-round 67. He entered the final round in a tie for 17th place after rounds of 69-67-72.

The finals will be held at PGA West in LaQuinta, Calif., starting Nov. 28. The top players after six rounds earn PGA Tour cards for 2013.
