In White Sulphur Springs, W.Va., Ted Potter Jr. earned his first PGA Tour win, outlasting Troy Kelly on the third playoff hole at the Greenbrier Classic today.
Potter made birdie on the par-3 18th after a landing his tee shot only a few feet from the hole. Both made par on the first two playoff holes.
Potter and Kelly finished regulation at 16-under-par 264. Potter closed with 6-under 64. Kelly had 66.
U.S. Open champion Webb Simpson, the leader coming into the final round, shot 73 and tied for seventh.
