Daley, who has no status on the tour, shot 2-under-par 68 in third round of the Champions Tour’s third major of the season.
Calcavecchia, the Montreal Championship winner last week, had 64. They are at 12-under 198 at Fox Chapel.
“This is a great opportunity for me,” said Daley, who tied for fourth in May in the Senior PGA Championship.
Second-round leader Fred Couples and Tom Lehman were a stroke back. Couples had 70, and Lehman shot 66. Lehman won the Regions Traditions in his last start.
EUROPEAN TOUR: In Portrush, Northern Ireland, Jamie Donaldson shot a 3-under-par 69 to take a one-stroke lead into the final round of the Irish Open.
Donaldson is one shot ahead of Anthony Wall, with Padraig Harrington and Mark Foster another shot back.
Rory McIlroy is tied for 11th place, six shots back, after shooting 71.
Gregory Bourdy, who entered the third round with a one-shot lead, shot 80 and is now eight off the pace.
WEB.COM TOUR: In Newburgh, Ind., Alistair Presnell maintained his lead in the United Leasing Championship after shooting 3-under-par 69.
His lead is two, but it’s tentative because of what’s behind him: seven players are tied for second place. Including former PGA Tour winners Will MacKenzie (68 on Saturday) and Chris Riley (69).
Augusta’s Scott Parel had six birdies and a bogey in a round of 67, which vaulted him to a tie for 12th place, four shots behind Presnell.
LPGA TOUR: In Rogers, Ark. Veronica Felibert continues to lead the NW Arkansas Championship.
Felibert, a rookie this season, shot 5-under-par 66 in the second round and is at 11-under 131. She’s two shots in front of Mika Miyazato (65 on Saturday) and Inbee Park (68).
Five players are five back, including Brittany Lang, who went from a tie for 76th after the first round to a tie for fourth after shooting 63.
