Former Augusta State All-American Patrick Reed continued his torrid stretch of golf today. Reed shot 8-under-par 64 to win the Monday qualifier for this week’s HP Byron Nelson Championship at Lantana Golf Club in Lantana, Texas.

Reed posted eight birdies and no bogeys to win the qualifying tournament by three shots. He will make his fourth PGA Tour appearance in the past five weeks. He received a sponsor’s exemption into the Valero Texas Open. Then, he Monday-qualified for the Zurich Classic of New Orleans and Wachovia Championship in consecutive weeks.

Though he has no status on the PGA Tour, Reed has posted three top-35 finishes and earned more than $116,000.
