Tiger Woods spent Monday practicing at Augusta National Golf Club, The Augusta Chronicle confirmed Monday night.
No other details about his visit, or how long he will be in town, were available.
Woods announced last week that he would return to competition at the Masters Tournament after a sex scandal that has kept him away from the game for more than four months.
The four-time Masters winner granted his first interviews Sunday to The Golf Channel and ESPN. He said he wasn't sure what to expect when he returns to the Masters, which will be held April 8-11.
"I'm a little nervous about that to be honest with you," Woods told ESPN. "It would be nice to hear a couple claps here and there. But also hope they clap for birdies, too."
Welcome back to Augusta. It is nice to be important but important to be nice. Good Luck.
Welcome to Augsuta - There will be plenty of clapping for you because you are great at the game of golf. Your personal life should be just that...personal. Good luck to you and all of the golfers and to the Masters Tournament which is so great for our community is so many ways.
Tiger Woods is more than welcome to Augusta to play in the Masters tournament. He is a man just as any other man. (same goes for the girls too) We all have problems and issue's from time to time in our life's. He is still a great golfer which has nothing to do with his personal life. If he wasn't famous his problems would never have been known by so many. At least his working on his personal life with his wife & family, which is none of any of our business. Give the guy a break.
Good luck Tiger, @ the tournament and with the repairing of your marriage. Hang in there, God will see you thru.
correction to yearofthebutterfly09 - BUDDHA will see him thru. LOL. I enjoy seeing the arrogant blindness of golf enthusiasts edging on the sex pervert in sport but would be happy to throw just about anyone else in society under the bus for the same type of offenses. Since golf is one of those dumb sports where the spectators are told to be quiet, I will voice here: BOO!
Was wondering why there were so many hot looking blondes at bonefish.....Go Tigger...Don't blame ya.
Was there any extra action at the Discotheque Lounge last night?
Welcome back Tiger. You are great for the game. Us golfers are looking forward to seeing you. The National will hopefully beef up security to keep the "Rag Mag" reporters outside the fence. Augusta is no place for their crap. Best of luck.
We all have our crosses to bare. Go find someone else's private life to meddle in. This is an honorable young man who will overcome his mistakes and rise like the cream of the crop always does....to the top. Go get'em Tiger!!
I like tiger but he has the rudest fan of any player. They don’t wait for the other players to hit before running. They push other fans so they can get a look at their god. I know, I worked at the Masters last year as a security guard and have attended the masters many times before that. As a fan I will not follow Tiger because of his no class fans.
He creates excitement chascush...... like any other top celebrity. Let's be happy he decided to start his "comeback" in our town. We can use the revenue his presense generates to our economy. Thankyou "fans".....Ya'll come back now ya hear?!
Go Tiger! Welcome back to the home of the Masters!
Tiger is just the same as any other man. The only reason his personal life surfaced is because of his high celebrity profile. In my home we've given him a new first name, "CHEETHA WOODS"
April 5 through 11 is now officially "lock up your wives and daughters week" in Augusta. Celebrate accordingly. And for all ya'll hoping God will see him through, remember, he's Buddhist.
"If he wasn't famous his problems would never have been known by so many." -- If he wasn't famous the "opportunities" may not have been as abundant.
miles kilpatrick said it best-"If he wasn't famous the "opportunities" may not have been as abundant."-Let's face it, who else would have the nerve to pick up a waitress at Waffle House? I wonder what Tiger's batting average was? Was he hitting 100%, or did he get turned down a time or two? He must have hitting pretty good, or either he was very persistent!
Go Tiger! Might want to try practicing a little fidelity along with your golf.
Given the secrecy of the Masters and their security I wonder if this is just a rumor? Has anyone in the press actually seen him or spoken with him? What difference does it make? He is the power house of a Quasi sport (I like poker personally and it is on ESPN too) and no one is in his league. In fact if it wasn't for him playing this year I wouldn't even watch the tournament. As to his personal life, that is his business and he must live it by himself.
Ut oh gotta go. The Tiger Woods of politics is signing the bill. Don't you just love our funny looking little skinny President with more brains than all of capitol hill. We really need to put him on the $50 bill.
TruckinRanger, so did the waitresses at Awful Waffle.
I am afraid Tiger forgot that golf is a game honor and integrity...
his mistakes go behond a one off mistake. he has damaged the game and needs to say so.
Welcome to the Masters Tiger... I know those "awful" women held you hostage & you couldn't help it..Get back to golf, I'm betting on you!
Tiger may have brought damage and shame to himself, but not the game. Do not get things twisted.
