USC Aiken women advance

In Morrow, Ga., Mackenzie Reese came off the bench to score 20 points and lead the USC Aiken women’s basketball team to a 94-71 victory over Lenoir-Rhyne in the NCAA Southeast Regional quarterfinals on Friday.

Daniela Tarailo had 19 points, Porsha Martin added 18 points and Brittany Hill had 10 assists for the Lady Pacers (21-7).

USC Aiken will take on No. 1-ranked Clayton State in the semifinals Saturday in Morrow. The Lady Lakers beat Mount Olive 91-58 on Friday night for their 30th consecutive victory.
