Lady Pacers beat Lander again

AIKEN --- Kayla Harris scored 16 points to lead three players in double figures as 13th-ranked USC Aiken beat 18th-ranked Lander 57-53 Saturday in a Peach Belt Conference women's basketball game.

Both teams are 14-2 in the conference, with both of Lander's losses coming against USC Aiken. The Lady Pacers won the first meeting, 65-62, in Greenwood, S.C., on Feb. 8.

Hannah DeGraffinreed added 15 points and Daniela Tarailo 11 for the Lady Pacers (21-3) on Saturday.

Brittni Johnson scored 12 points to lead Lander (19-5).

USC Aiken also won the men's game, 92-84, avenging an earlier loss to the Bearcats.

Jesse Seilern led the No. 23 Pacers (18-6, 12-4) with 16 points and hit four of the team's 11 3-pointers. Ronald Zimmerman also hit four 3-pointers and scored 14 points. Joel Gierbolini added 13 points and Terrance Dent had 11, including three 3-pointers.

Lander's Dwight Tolbert led all scorers with 27 points. Dennis Rumph and Corey Wright added 16 apiece for the Bearcats (16-8, 9-7), who wn the first meeting, 70-62, on Feb. 8 at home.
