Albany State takes down Paine men

In Albany, Justin Wilcox scored 24 points to lead Albany State to a 69-64 win over the Paine College men Monday night.

Jaren Harris added 17 points for the Rams (3-11, 2-6 SIAC), who have been struggling early in the season.

Allen Young and Kedric Taylor both had 15 points for the Lions (6-9, 4-4), who have lost three of five.

Mario Jordan, who surpassed the 1,000 career points mark last week, had just five points for Paine.

Earlier in the day, Paine’s Jerel Stephenson, a former Glenn Hills standout, was named Co-SIAC Player of the Week.
