Augusta State golfer Natalie Wille is medalist

In Parrish, Fla., Augusta State senior Natalie Wille won medalist honors in the Central District Invitational on Tuesday.

Wille and Michigan State’s Caroline Powers, who were tied after 36 holes, both closed with even-par 72 to finish at 1-under 215 at Wilderness Golf Club.

Wille then won the scorecard playoff to take medalist honors.

The Augusta State women also finished the final round where they started – in eighth place.

In addition to Wille’s 72, Marit Bjerke had 74, Casey Kennedy shot 79 and Julia Stalbro had 79. The noncounting score was Christine Duschek-Hansen’s 82.
