Augusta State men's basketball climbs 6 spots in latest poll

The Augusta State men’s basketball team climbed six spots to No. 15 in the latest edition of the NABC/Division II men’s basketball rankings, released Tuesday.



The Jaguars (5-0) defeated Lander on the road Saturday to begin Peach Belt Conference play with an opening victory. Augusta State is off till it plays host to Montevallo at 7:30 p.m. Monday at Christenberry Fieldhouse.

On Wednesday, Dec. 19 the Jaguars will play host to No. 20 Lincoln Memorial at 6 p.m. at James Brown Arena. Augusta State is trying to “Jam the JBA” with several promotions, including a halftime ceremony honoring retiring Richmond County Sheriff Ronnie Strength.
