After a year’s absence, Augusta State is back in a familiar place.

With their 4-0 start, the Jaguars checked in at No. 21 in the latest edition of the National Association of Basketball Coaches/Division II Men’s Basketball Poll today. Augusta State is the lone Peach Belt Conference team in the top 25.

The Jaguars were ranked for 65 consecutive weeks from Jan. 30, 2007 to March 8, 2011 – tied for the fifth-longest consecutive weeks stretch in Division II history – with two stints at No. 1.

• The USC Aiken women climbed one spot to third in the latest USA Today/ESPN Division II top-25 Coaches’ Poll. The Lady Pacers (5-0) own their highest ranking in school history.
