Augusta State advances in volleyball

In St. Augustine, Fla., Augusta State scored a minor upset while USC Aiken was eliminated in the  Peach Belt Conference Championships in Flagler Gymnasium.
Fifth-seeded Augusta State avenged a pair of regular-season losses to Montevallo by beating the fourth-seeded Falcons 3-1 (25-23, 25-23, 14-25, 25-22) in the quarterfinals.
Augusta State junior Jenna Keeler had 15 kills,  Mandy Irizarry had 11 kills and 13 digs and Krystin Wahlig racked up 42 assists
The Lady Jaguars (19-14) will take on top-seeded Armstrong Atlantic State at noon today.
Third-seeded USC Aiken lost 3-1 (20-25, 25-21, 32-30, 25-20) to sixth-seeded Lander.
Junior Leah Rodgers had a career-high 21 kills for the Lady Pacers (18-13).
