The two-day, 54-hole event at Greenville Country Club, was reduced to an 18-hole tournament after torrential rain Monday afternoon that caused the cancellation of the final 36 holes.
Maryland claimed the team title for the third consecutive year with a total of 7-over par 295. The Terrapins were tied with North Carolina-Wilmington, but earned the win because of the fifth-player tiebreaker.
Maryland’s Juliet Vongphoumy shot 4-under 68 on Monday and earned medalist honors.
