Augusta State men's golf finishes 10th at Northern Intercollegiate

In Sugar Grove, Ill., the Augusta State men faded to 10th place in its season-opening event Sunday.

The Jaguars posted 23-over-par 307 to finish at 81-over 933 at the Northern Intercollegiate.

Indiana won the tournament with 888.

Robin Petersson led the way for Augusta State, closing with 2-over 73 to finish tied for sixth at 8-over 221.

Also for Augusta State, Alex Wennstam (75, 236) tied for 34th, Derek Chang (75, 236) tied for 40th, Meechai Padung (81, 239) was 43rd and Cody Shafer (80, 247) tied for 58th.
