The foundation will fund the Savannah River Scholars Program, a research and education program that will foster diversity in NSF programs, projects and activities, ASU spokeswoman Tunisia Williams said in a news release. The grant will fund the program, and provide scholarships to students majoring in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. The scholarships will average about $5,700 per year, and will be awarded to 16 students based on academics and financial need.
