Georgia women remain unbeaten with road victory

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Tiaria Griffin came off the Georgia bench Thursday to score a game-high 20 points to lead the No. 16 Bulldogs as they romped to an 81-55 win over Belmont.

Khaalidah Miller had 15 points for Georgia (9-0), while Merritt Hempe added 13 points and Krista Donald had 10.

The Bruins (3-7) were led by Lauren Thompson’s team-high 10 points off the Belmont bench.

NO. 5 KENTUCKY 96, DEPAUL 85

In Chicago, Ill., Linnae Harper scored 18 points and Kastine Evans added 14 to lead Kentucky (10-0) over DePaul (4-3).

Brittany Hrynkko scored 20 points and Megan Rogowski had 19 for DePaul (4-3).


MEN

MARYLAND 88, BOSTON COLLEGE 80

In Chestnut Hill, Mass., Maryland (6-4, 1-0 Atlantic Coast Conference) held off conference rival Boston College (3-7, 0-1) for its first ACC win of the season.

Dez Wells scored a game-high 33 points to lead the Terrapins. Boston College sophomore Olivier Hanlan led the Eagles with 26.

ARKANSAS 72, SAVANNAH STATE 43

In Fayetteville, Ark., Rashad Madden had 18 and Arkansas (7-2) routed Savannah State (2-9).

Deven Williams and Alante Fenner had 10 points each to lead the Tigers, who trailed by two points at the break.
