In Columbus, Ohio, LaQuinton Ross scored 17 of his 20 points in the first half, hitting his first four 3-pointers, to lead Ohio State (7-0) to an early lead and a victory over Maryland (5-3) in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge.
Former Xavier guard Dez Wells had 19 points for Maryland.
NO. 8 WISCONSIN 48, VIRGINIA 38
In Charlottesville, Va., Josh Gasser scored 11 points and Wisconsin (9-0) won a defensive struggle against Virginia (7-2) in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge.
The Badgers extended their best start since 1993-94 by limiting Virginia to 23 percent shooting and won going away despite shooting only 29 percent.
WAKE FOREST 72, TULANE 57
In Winston-Salem, N.C., Coron Williams came off the bench to score 18 points and Wake Forest (7-2) pulled away from Tulane (4-5) in the second half.

In Raleigh, N.C., T.J. Warren had 22 points and eight rebounds as North Carolina State (5-2) beat Northwestern (4-5) in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge.
Ralston Turner scored 13 points, Jordan Vandenberg added 12 and Lennard Freeman had 10 points and 10 rebounds for the Wolfpack.

In Indianapolis, Terone Johnson scored a season-high 18 points, Ronnie Johnson added 15 and Kendall Stephens finished with 11, leading Purdue (7-2) past Boston College (3-5) in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge.

In College Station, Texas, Jamal Jones scored 21 points on seven 3-pointers, and Kourtney Roberson added 14 points as Texas A&M (7-2) defeated Houston (6-3).

In Tuscaloosa, Ala., Levi Randolph led four players in double figures with 20 points as Alabama (4-3) beat North Florida (5-5).
