Tide roll over Vols

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. –– T.J. Yeldon scored on three 1-yard runs and AJ McCarron passed for 275 yards and two touchdowns to help No. 1 Alabama continue to roll along with a 45-10 victory over Tennessee.

Landon Collins returned an interception 89 yards for another score for the Crimson Tide (8-0, 5-0), which raced to a 35-0 halftime lead. The Volunteers (4-4, 1-3) dropped their seventh consecutive game in the rivalry.

McCarron completed 19 of 27 passes. Kevin Norwood caught six passes for 112 yards. Kenyan Drake ran for 89 yards while Yeldon gained 72 yards.

NO. 14 TEXAS A&M 56, VANDERBILT 24

In College Station, Texas, Johnny Manziel threw for 305 yards and four touchdowns in less than three quarters, and Texas A&M (6-2, 3-2) bounced back with a victory over Vanderbilt (4-4, 1-4).

Manziel threw three TDs in the first quarter to help Texas A&M build a 28-point lead. He added another score before sitting down in the third quarter.

NO. 13 LOUISIANA STATE 48, FURMAN 16

In Baton Rouge, La., Odell Beckham Jr. caught six passes for 204 yards and two scores, Terrance Magee added two second-half touchdowns, and Louisiana State (7-2) turned a tenuous halftime lead into a romp over Furman (3-5).

Jeremy Hill rushed for 143 yards and two touchdowns for LSU, which led 20-16 at halftime.

AUBURN 45, FLORIDA ATLANTIC 10

In Auburn, Ala., freshman Jeremy Johnson threw two long touchdown passes to Sammie Coates after replacing injured starter Nick Marshall and Auburn (7-1) overwhelmed Florida Atlantic (2-6).

Marshall was taken to the locker room with a shoulder injury early in the second quarter. Marshall returned to the Auburn sideline, but not the game.

MISSISSIPPI 59, IDAHO 14

In Oxford, Miss., Bo Wallace threw for 186 yards and two touchdowns, I’Tavius Mathers rushed for 138 yards and another touchdown as Mississippi (5-3) rolled over Idaho (1-7).
