TICKET TO BOAST: Heisman Trophy winner Johnny Manziel recently got a speeding ticket near Dallas and a local judge thought it newsworthy enough to post something on Facebook.
Ennis City Manager Steve Howerton on Friday issued a news release saying Judge W. Lee Johnson’s Facebook post was “insensitive and inappropriate.” He said Johnson could face disciplinary action.
Manziel got the ticket in Ennis, a small city about 35 miles south of Dallas.
Johnson didn’t post Manziel’s name on his Facebook site. Instead, the judge wrote about “a certain unnamed (very) recent Heisman Trophy winner.”
