FORT WORTH, Texas — Brittney Griner had 24 points – including a dunk – and 12 rebounds to lead No. 2 Baylor to a 74-35 win over Big 12 newcomer Texas Christian on Wednesday night in the conference opener for both teams.

Odyssey Sims scored 14 points and Brooklyn Pope added 12 for the Lady Bears (11-1, 1-0), who took control with a 20-0 run in the first half to win their eighth consecutive game.

Donielle Breaux and Natalie Ventress each scored seven points to lead the Horned Frogs (7-5).

TEXAS TECH 64, NO. 13 OKLAHOMA STATE 59

In Stillwater, Okla., Chynna Brown scored 15 points, including a tie-breaking 3-pointer with 45 seconds to play, and Texas Tech (11-2, 1-0) defeated Oklahoma State (11-1, 0-1) in the Big 12 opener for both schools.

NO. 21 KANSAS 72, KANSAS STATE 63

In Lawrence, Kan., Angel Goodrich scored 17 points to lead Kansas (10-2, 1-0) over Kansas State (9-4, 0-1) in the Big 12 Conference opener.
