Syracuse wins 27th in a row at home

SYRACUSE, N.Y. — C.J. Fair had 16 points and a career-high 13 rebounds, Michael Carter-Williams added 15 points and 10 assists, and No. 4 Syracuse beat Long Beach State 84-53 on Thursday night.

Syracuse (7-0) upped its home winning streak to 27 games, tops in the nation.

NO. 11 CINCINNATI 87, ARKANSAS-LITTLE ROCK 53

In Cincinnati, Sean Kilpatrick scored 10 of his 18 points in the second half, and Cincinnati (8-0) had 23 steals in a victory over Arkansas-Little Rock (7-4).

NO. 16 CREIGHTON 64, NEBRASKA 42

In Lincoln, Neb., Doug McDermott scored 27 points, Gregory Echenique had 12 points and 12 rebounds, and Creighton (8-1) downed Nebraska (6-2).

NO. 2 CONNECTICUT 67, NO. 10 PENN STATE 52

In Storrs, Conn., Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis scored a season-high 25 points and Connecticut (8-0) defeated Penn State (6-2.

NO. 4 DUKE 85, GEORGIA TECH 52

In Durham, N.C., Elizabeth Williams had a career-high 25 points and 11 rebounds, and Duke (7-0) routed Georgia Tech (3-5) in its Atlantic Coast Conference opener.

Tyaunna Marshall had 23 points on 10 of 18 shooting for Georgia Tech, but her teammates were a combined 12 of 59.

In College Park, Md. Tianna Hawkins had 20 points and 12 rebounds, Alyssa Thomas contributed 20 points and 11 rebounds, and Maryland (5-2) opened defense of its ACC title with a win over Virginia (5-3).

In Norman, Okla., Nicole Griffin had 15 points and nine rebounds to lead Oklahoma (8-1) past North Texas (2-6).

In Fort Wayne, Ind., Courtney Moses scored 19 points and Drey Mingo had 15 points and 11 rebounds to lead Purdue (8-1).

In Stillwater, Oklahoma, Toni Young had 20 points and 12 rebounds as Oklahoma State (7-0) romped.

ARKANSAS 64, NO. 17 KANSAS 56

In Fayetteville, Ark., Quistelle Williams scored 15 points as Arkansas (8-1) upset Kansas (7-1).
