Paine College. With their three-game losing streak, the Lions have fallen from first to fourth in the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference standings. With five of its final seven games at home, Paine still is in the race for the league title.

Augusta State is holding Military Appreciation Day today for its doubleheader against Flagler. All active-duty and retired servicemen and servicewomen (and their families) receive free admission with a military ID.

The USC Aiken men lead rival Augusta State by two games in the East Division. With three games to go (for each team) before their Feb. 15 rematch in Augusta, the Pacers are looking to retain or expand upon their lead. On the flip side, if the Jaguars can pull within a game of the division lead entering that Wednesday meeting, Christenberry Fieldhouse will be absolutely bananas that night.

Paine (11-8, 10-7): Lions are two players (a true point guard and a big man) away from becoming a top 25 team – it could happen as soon as next season.
USC Aiken (15-4, 9-2): The 24th-ranked Pacers are forcing a league-best 20.2 turnovers per game.
Augusta State (9-10, 4-7): Guard Amber Peterson has scored in double digits in three of the past four games.
Paine (3-16, 3-12): The Lady Lions will use the week off to try to snap eight-game slide.
USC Aiken (16-3, 9-2): The 16th-ranked Lady Pacers trail Lander by two in the division but have two games left with the Lady Bearcats.
